Beach Attendant

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain Caribbean beachfront — lounge chairs, umbrellas, towel service, cleanliness
• Welcome guests and manage beach area assignments
• Coordinate water sports and beach activity assistance — kayak and paddleboard rental, snorkel equipment
• Provide attentive, friendly beach service throughout the day — towel exchange, amenity delivery
• Monitor beach safety — coordinate with lifeguard, enforce safe swim zone, communicate marine life alerts (jellyfish season, etc.)
• Maintain beach cleanliness throughout shift

Requirements

• Physical fitness for outdoor work in Caribbean heat and humidity
• Friendly, social service personality — Playa's beach culture is more informal and social than Cancún's resort corridor
• Basic English; European language (Italian, French, German) useful given Playa's European guest mix
• Ability to swim
• Previous beach hospitality experience preferred
