Water Sports Instructor

Responsibilities

• Instruct and supervise water sports — paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, Caribbean reef guided swims
• Ensure water safety for all activities
• Coordinate Cozumel snorkeling briefings and reef conservation guidance
• Maintain all water sports equipment
• Handle beginner instruction with patience and encouragement

Requirements

• Water sports instruction experience
• Swimming and water safety certification
• English essential; French or Italian helpful
• Physical fitness
• Eco-values alignment — reef conservation is a programming context here

The guide into the Caribbean. A Playa guest who has never snorkeled — who enters the water hesitantly and emerges from their first Caribbean reef experience reporting parrotfish, sea turtles, and colors they didn't know existed — has been brought to a natural world they previously only saw in photographs.
