Resort-Based Excursion Guide

Responsibilities

• Lead resort guest excursion groups to Yucatán Peninsula destinations — Chichén Itzá, Tulum ruins, Cobá, cenotes, Isla Mujeres, Isla Contoy
• Provide accurate, engaging archaeological and ecological context throughout excursions
• Manage group logistics — transport coordination, site entry, lunch, timing, special needs
• Ensure guest safety on all excursions — heat management, water, physical ability monitoring
• Communicate in English with North American tourist groups and in Spanish with local transport and site staff
• Coordinate with resort activities desk on group bookings and departures

Requirements

• SECTUR guide certification for Yucatán Peninsula destinations (or actively pursuing)
• Deep knowledge of Chichén Itzá, Tulum, and Yucatán archaeological and ecological sites
• Excellent English — Cancún excursion guests are predominantly North American
• Physical fitness for full-day guided excursions in Yucatán heat
• Natural communication and storytelling ability
