Food, Wine & Hacienda Tour Guide

Responsibilities

• Lead SMA food market and culinary tours — Mercado Ignacio Ramírez, street food circuit, mezcal bar circuit
• Guide wine and spirits excursions to Guanajuato wine country — Mexico's highland wine region, increasingly recognized internationally
• Lead hacienda tours of the Bajío — colonial agricultural estates, SMA's wedding hacienda culture
• Organize cooking experiences with SMA chefs
• Coordinate on wedding and event-related programming for boutique hotel guests arriving for ceremonies
• Provide regional food context — Bajío cuisine, carnitas, enchiladas mineras, Guanajuatan culinary traditions

Requirements

• Deep SMA food, wine, and regional culinary knowledge
• Excellent English
• Familiarity with SMA's sophisticated food and beverage market — guests here are experienced travelers
• SECTUR certification or in progress
• Understanding of SMA wedding tourism context — significant portion of guests are in town for events
