Eco & Archaeological Tour Guide

Responsibilities

• Lead guided excursions to Tulum archaeological zone, Cobá ruins, Muyil in Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve
• Provide Mayan archaeological, astronomical, and cosmological context throughout tours
• Lead cenote tours in the Tulum area — ecological context, water conservation messaging, low-impact behavior
• Guide Sian Ka'an Biosphere boat tours — mangrove ecology, bird species identification, marine habitats
• Communicate sustainability principles throughout — Tulum's guests expect active eco-values from guides
• Work within property's low-impact tour protocols — no single-use plastic, minimal group sizes

Requirements

• SECTUR guide certification or in progress
• Deep Tulum, Cobá, and Sian Ka'an knowledge — archaeological and ecological
• Excellent English — Tulum's guests are predominantly international
• Genuine eco-values alignment — Tulum's conscious travel market detects performative environmentalism immediately
• Experience with small-group, intimate tour formats
