Work environment
Senior hotel accountant at a Los Cabos five-star or ultra-luxury resort. Complex payroll management, dual-currency revenue accounting, service charge distribution, and IMSS compliance in Mexico's highest-ADR and most internationally scrutinized hotel market.
About the role
The Los Cabos senior hotel accountant who closes the February books — peak season, 100% occupancy, USD 1,800 ADR, service charge pool at MXN 420,000 for the month, housing allowances for 85 relocated employees — who reconciles every revenue line, calculates the service charge distribution for 340 eligible employees, produces the P&L by March 7, and delivers the dual-currency ownership report in the format the New York-based management company requires — has executed the financial close for one of the most revenue-intense hotel operating months in Mexican hospitality. The management company that receives this report on time, accurate to the dollar, with the variance commentary they need to explain the Q1 performance to their investors, trusts the Los Cabos accounting team. That trust is built one accurate close at a time.
