Administration & SupportHotel Accountant & Finance Administrator
Boutique colonial hotel or private club, San Miguel de Allende
San Miguel de Allende
Fixed monthly
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete accounting and finance function for a San Miguel de Allende boutique hotel or private club (30–100 employees): as the sole accounting professional for the property, manage biweekly payroll with CFDI de nómina compliance, IMSS Guanajuato zone obligations, accounts payable and receivable, the monthly close, and the SAT fiscal compliance program
- Execute biweekly payroll for the SMA boutique hotel workforce: the small team payroll is processed with the personal care and mathematical precision appropriate for a workplace where everyone knows each other — the aguinaldo, vacation premium, and PTU calculations are explained directly to each employee in terms they understand, and the CFDI de nómina is delivered on payday without fail
- Manage IMSS Guanajuato zone compliance: process SUA monthly employer quota payments, IMSS IDSE alta/baja for the hotel's workforce, and maintain the RT risk classification and Registro Patronal documentation to the IMSS Guanajuato delegación's standards
- Manage SAT CFDI compliance for hotel revenue: emit CFDI facturas for room revenue, events, and F&B; validate all supplier CFDI; maintain the digital archive; and support the external fiscal advisor on the monthly IVA declaration and the annual ISR calculation
- Produce the monthly financial package for internationally sophisticated ownership: the SMA boutique hotel owner who reviews the monthly P&L often has financial experience from professional backgrounds outside Mexico — the accountant produces the financial report in a clear, well-organized format with the departmental breakdown and the prior year comparison that sophisticated ownership requires
- Coordinate the hacienda destination wedding and events financial accounting: the SMA hotel's destination wedding and private event business generates significant short-term revenue spikes — the accountant manages the deposit accounting, the event billing, and the post-event settlement that wedding and event clients require

Work environment
Hotel accountant and finance administrator at a San Miguel de Allende boutique colonial hotel. Full-function solo accounting management with IMSS Guanajuato compliance, SAT fiscal management, and international ownership reporting in SMA's boutique hotel market.
About the role
The San Miguel hotel accountant who presents the October financial package to the Canadian owner during their November SMA visit — who walks through the P&L at the sala de descanso overlooking the Parroquia, who explains the September low-season revenue shortfall and the October recovery, who shows the wedding event revenue and the F&B margin, who answers the owner's specific question about the Guanajuato wine tasting event's contribution to the restaurant revenue — who does all of this in English, clearly, with no financial jargon that obscures rather than illuminates — has delivered the financial communication that builds the Canadian owner's confidence in their Mexican investment. The owner who leaves that conversation informed and confident comes back to SMA next year and approves the garden renovation budget. The accountant who communicates the numbers this clearly is the property's most effective investor relations asset.
