Administration & SupportHuman Resources Assistant
Large all-inclusive resort, Cancún Hotel Zone
Cancún
Fixed monthly
Responsibilities
- Support the HR department's daily administrative operations: maintain employee files, process new hire documentation (IMSS registration, Infonavit affiliation, Fonacot registration where applicable), and manage the onboarding checklist for all new hires
- Assist with recruitment: coordinate job postings on OCC Mundial, Indeed México, and Computrabajo; screen applications; schedule interviews; and manage the candidate communication pipeline for line-level and supervisory positions
- Process IMSS alta/baja movements accurately: the daily employee movement in a large Cancún resort (new hires, terminations, and contract extensions) requires precise IMSS movement processing within the legally required timeframes to avoid surcharges

- Support the payroll preparation by maintaining accurate attendance records, overtime tracking, and shift differential documentation for the payroll team
- Assist with employee relations cases: document disciplinary conversations in the LFT-prescribed format (acta administrativa), coordinate with the HR Manager on the procedural requirements of each case, and maintain the disciplinary record in the employee file

Work environment
HR assistant at a large Cancún all-inclusive resort. High-volume employee documentation, IMSS movement management, and recruitment coordination in the Mexican Caribbean's most active labor market.
About the role
The Cancún HR assistant who processes 14 new hire packets on a Thursday — IMSS alta for each, Infonavit affiliation, employee file creation, and uniform requisition — who has the 6 kitchen staff starting Monday ready for their onboarding session by Friday afternoon — who then turns around and processes 3 IMSS bajas for the employees who resigned that morning — has spent a day executing the administrative infrastructure that keeps a 1,200-person resort legally compliant and operationally staffed. The work is invisible to almost everyone. It is indispensable to everyone.
