Responsibilities
- Manage the complete HR function for a Guadalajara hotel (100–350 employees): recruitment, onboarding, IMSS compliance, payroll coordination, labor relations, training administration, and the employment documentation required by the LFT — in Guadalajara's competitive professional labor market, the HR generalist also manages active retention programs alongside the standard compliance functions

- Manage IMSS Jalisco zone compliance: Guadalajara's IMSS Jalisco delegación has specific submission procedures and inspection protocols — the HR generalist manages the property's IMSS compliance calendar with the precision that pre-emptive compliance requires
- Execute the Jalisco STPS compliance program: maintain employment contracts, training records, safety documentation, and the workplace rights postings that the STPS Jalisco office requires in an inspection-ready format
- Coordinate the FIL and Expo Guadalajara event staffing plan: the Guadalajara hotel's biggest demand peaks align with the FIL International Book Fair in November and the Expo Guadalajara convention calendar — the HR generalist coordinates the temporary workforce additions and the overtime management that these events require

About the role
The Guadalajara HR generalist who coordinates the November FIL staffing plan — who finalizes the temporary hire list by October 10, processes all IMSS altas by October 20, runs the FIL-specific guest service orientation (how to direct guests to book fair venues, which routes to recommend during book fair week traffic, how to manage the check-in surge at 15:00 when the afternoon sessions end), and by the first weekend of November has a fully staffed property ready for 4,000 book fair attendees — has delivered the operational HR function that the hotel's most commercially critical week depends on. The FIL guest has significant purchasing power and a strong preference for cultural destinations. The HR generalist who prepares the team for that guest's expectations delivers a commercially measurable result.
