Work environment

HR business partner for commercial departments at a CDMX five-star hotel. Senior recruitment, commercial team performance management, and HR strategy support for the hotel's revenue-generating functions.

About the role

The CDMX HR business partner who sits with the Director of Sales in October for the annual commercial team review — who brings the performance data, the compensation benchmarking against the CDMX competitive hotel set, and the analysis showing that the two highest-performing sales managers are being approached by a competitor at MXN 8,000/month above their current salary — who leaves the meeting with approval for a targeted retention adjustment for those two individuals — has done the intelligence gathering and the advocacy work that keeps the hotel's two highest-producing commercial team members in place for the following year. The competitor didn't poach them. The HR business partner saw it coming and moved first.
