Work environment
HR coordinator and training manager at a PDC five-star hotel. Combined HR administration and employee development program management in the Riviera Maya's competitive boutique luxury hotel labor market.
About the role
The PDC HR coordinator and training manager who launches the property's conversational French training program — who identifies 12 front-of-house staff who show aptitude and motivation, who schedules the weekly 90-minute session with the French instructor partner, who tracks the cohort's progress over 6 months, and who at the end of the season has 8 staff members who can greet, seat, and handle a basic service sequence in French — has done the workforce development work that the property's French guest reviews will reflect in the following year. The training investment is MXN 60,000. The ADR premium from better French guest satisfaction scores over the following 3 years is measurably larger. The HR coordinator who makes that business case gets the next training budget approved.
