IT Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the IT function for a Guadalajara four-star or five-star hotel: manage an IT team of 2–5 professionals, own the IT budget, develop the technology roadmap, and report to the General Manager on all technology infrastructure, system performance, event technology capability, and cybersecurity outcomes
• Lead the hotel's MICE technology strategy: the Guadalajara MICE hotel's competitive differentiation in the convention market includes its event technology capability — the IT Manager develops the event technology portfolio (video conferencing, translation systems, hybrid event support, streaming broadcast capability) and the technical production team that executes major events
• Manage the Guadalajara technology talent retention challenge: the hotel IT team competes with the Oracle, IBM, and software company campuses in Zapopan for the same talent pool — the IT Manager builds the retention program (technology certification support, career development, market-competitive compensation benchmarking) that keeps the hotel's IT team from migrating to the tech corridor
• Own the hotel's cybersecurity program: PCI-DSS compliance for the MICE hotel's significant event payment processing, LFPDPPP compliance for the corporate client and event attendee data management, and the network security architecture that separates the corporate event network from the hotel's PMS infrastructure
• Develop the hotel's digital event offering: the Guadalajara MICE market is increasingly interested in hybrid events (in-person and virtual attendees simultaneously) — the IT Manager develops the hotel's hybrid event technology capability and positions the property in the Guadalajara MICE market as the preferred venue for high-production hybrid events
• Manage the technology infrastructure investment cycle with the Guadalajara technology cost advantage: Guadalajara's technology ecosystem provides access to better-priced local technology services than CDMX — the IT Manager leverages the local ecosystem for cost-effective infrastructure management

Requirements

• IT Manager experience at a MICE hotel, conference center, or Guadalajara technology organization
• MICE and hybrid event technology management
• Talent retention in Guadalajara's competitive technology employer market
• Cybersecurity (PCI-DSS, LFPDPPP) and network security architecture
• English and Spanish bilingual; ITIL, PMP, or CISSP preferred
