IT Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete IT function for a CDMX five-star hotel or hotel group: manage an IT team of 4–10 professionals, own the annual IT budget (MXN 4–15M for a large CDMX property), develop the technology roadmap, and report to the General Manager and ownership/management company on all technology strategy, infrastructure performance, and cybersecurity outcomes
• Implement and manage the international brand technology standard: the CDMX luxury hotel operating under a Marriott, Hyatt, or Hilton brand affiliation must implement the brand's global technology standards (brand PMS, brand loyalty integration, brand mobile app, brand security policy) while adapting implementation to the CDMX technology infrastructure — the IT Manager navigates the brand compliance requirement and the local context simultaneously
• Lead the CDMX hotel's cybersecurity program at the organizational level: the CDMX business hotel processes the personal and payment card data of Mexico's highest-profile corporate travelers — the IT Manager develops and implements the cybersecurity program (PCI-DSS for card data, LFPDPPP for personal data, SOC for organizational security monitoring), manages the annual penetration testing, and leads the response to any security incident
• Manage the MICE and event technology function: the CDMX five-star hotel's event business (corporate conferences, government functions, media events) requires a technology capability that includes professional-grade AV production, simultaneous interpretation systems, 10 Gbps event network capacity, and the event-day technical production management that major CDMX events expect
• Build and develop the CDMX IT team as the city's most competitive technology talent market: the CDMX technology talent pool is Mexico's largest, but also the most competitive (Tata Consultancy Services, Oracle, IBM, Accenture, and OXXO's technology center all recruit from the same pool) — the IT Manager builds the retention and development program that keeps the hotel IT team competitive
• Lead the hotel's technology vendor portfolio management: negotiate the enterprise technology contracts (Cisco network, PMS, POS, revenue management, AV systems) at the CDMX corporate hotel scale and with the management company oversight that brand-affiliated properties require

Requirements

• IT Manager experience at a CDMX luxury hotel, five-star property, or corporate enterprise
• International luxury brand technology standard implementation
• Cybersecurity leadership (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent); PCI-DSS and LFPDPPP compliance
• MICE and event technology management
• Team leadership, IT budget management, and vendor contract negotiation; English and Spanish bilingual
