Storekeeper / Almacenista

Responsibilities

• Manage storeroom operations for a Guadalajara business or four-star hotel: receive all incoming deliveries, inspect quantity and quality, organize and maintain dry goods storage and cold storage, issue goods on authorized department requisitions, and maintain the par stock levels that the hotel's F&B and housekeeping operation requires
• Execute goods receipt with the quality standards the Guadalajara hotel sector demands: the Jalisco food products (fresh quesillo, birria-grade kid goat, aged tequila for the bar program, fresh highland produce from Los Altos) require an inspection standard appropriate for the quality the hotel's F&B program is built on
• Manage FIFO inventory rotation with attention to the FIL and Expo Guadalajara demand peaks: the November FIL creates the hotel's highest F&B volume week — the storekeeper coordinates the pre-FIL stock build with the purchasing coordinator and manages the storeroom to handle the peak volume without compromising FIFO access
• Execute weekly physical inventory counts for the high-value beverage and food categories: coordinate the count with the purchasing coordinator, produce the count sheet, reconcile against the inventory system, and report variances to the Purchasing Manager
• Maintain the storeroom in compliance with the Guadalajara health authority (Secretaría de Salud Jalisco) and COFEPRIS food safety standards: temperature log maintenance, pest control documentation, and the receiving dock cleanliness that periodic inspection requires
• Coordinate the hotel's Tequila Valley product receiving: the Jalisco hotel's artisanal tequila and mezcal storeroom management requires basic spirits product knowledge to correctly receive and store the premium agave spirits that define Guadalajara's bar program identity

Requirements

• Storeroom or warehouse experience; hotel, food service, or Jalisco food distribution preferred
• Jalisco fresh food and artisanal spirits receiving competency
• FIFO inventory management and physical count
• Food safety storage and temperature compliance
• Basic computer skills for inventory management
