Banquet Server

Responsibilities

• Execute full plated dinner service for banquet events of 50–500 guests
• Set up and break down banquet room — table linen, place settings, centerpieces, service stations
• Serve plated courses simultaneously with banquet team — synchronized service requires precise timing
• Manage buffet service stations when applicable
• Assist with cocktail hour service — passed canapés, drinks trays
• Maintain professional appearance throughout long event shifts

Requirements

• 1–2 years service experience; banquet experience preferred
• Team coordination ability — banquet service is synchronized team work, not individual tables
• Physical stamina for long event shifts (6–12 hours)
• Professional appearance
• English helpful for international corporate events

Work environment

Resort banquet hall or beachfront event venue. Cancún's event venues range from large convention center ballrooms to open-air beach event spaces — banquet service staff work across both environments.
