Barista — Specialty Coffee Café

Responsibilities

  • Operate professional espresso equipment — La Marzocco, Synesso, or similar
  • Execute espresso extraction with precision — dial in grind, dose, yield daily
  • Steam milk to correct temperature and texture for each drink style
  • Execute latte art — rosetta, tulip, swan for specialty orders
  • Prepare filter coffee — pour-over, Chemex, AeroPress, siphon
  • Educate guests on coffee origin and processing when interested
  • Maintain café counter and equipment to specialty standard

Requirements

  • 2–3 years specialty barista experience
  • Espresso and filter coffee technical knowledge
  • Latte art ability
  • Coffee origin knowledge — Veracruz, Chiapas, Oaxaca producers
