Responsibilities
- Operate professional espresso equipment — La Marzocco, Synesso, or similar
- Execute espresso extraction with precision — dial in grind, dose, yield daily
- Steam milk to correct temperature and texture for each drink style
- Execute latte art — rosetta, tulip, swan for specialty orders
- Prepare filter coffee — pour-over, Chemex, AeroPress, siphon
- Educate guests on coffee origin and processing when interested
- Maintain café counter and equipment to specialty standard
Requirements
- 2–3 years specialty barista experience
- Espresso and filter coffee technical knowledge
- Latte art ability
- Coffee origin knowledge — Veracruz, Chiapas, Oaxaca producers
