Café Manager / Head Barista

Responsibilities

  • Lead café team and maintain coffee quality standards
  • Calibrate espresso grinders daily and adjust for weather and bean age
  • Train baristas in extraction, milk technique, and guest service
  • Manage green coffee sourcing or relationships with roasters
  • Handle café operations — inventory, scheduling, cost of goods
  • Develop seasonal beverage menu
  • Represent café at community coffee events and cuppings

Requirements

  • 4–6 years specialty barista experience with leadership
  • Deep coffee knowledge — origin, processing, roasting, extraction
  • SCA certification (Q Grader or Barista Skills) is an advantage
  • Team management ability
