Responsibilities
- Welcome guests at restaurant entrance in Tulum's distinctive open-air environment
- Manage reservations for in-demand Tulum restaurants — top Tulum restaurants fill weeks in advance
- Navigate guests through outdoor jungle or beach dining environments to their tables
- Communicate menu philosophy briefly to incoming guests — organic sourcing, local ingredients
- Handle high-profile guests with composure and appropriate discretion
- Manage wait gracefully — Tulum's most sought-after restaurants regularly have queues
Requirements
- 2–3 years hospitality experience
- Excellent English — Tulum's dining clientele is predominantly international
- Composed, gracious manner without being overly formal — Tulum's atmosphere is intentionally relaxed luxury
- Knowledge of organic and wellness food philosophy — guests ask questions from the moment they arrive
- Discretion with high-profile guests — Tulum's restaurant scene regularly receives internationally known visitors
