Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests at restaurant entrance in Tulum's distinctive open-air environment
  • Manage reservations for in-demand Tulum restaurants — top Tulum restaurants fill weeks in advance
  • Navigate guests through outdoor jungle or beach dining environments to their tables
  • Communicate menu philosophy briefly to incoming guests — organic sourcing, local ingredients
  • Handle high-profile guests with composure and appropriate discretion
  • Manage wait gracefully — Tulum's most sought-after restaurants regularly have queues

Requirements

  • 2–3 years hospitality experience
  • Excellent English — Tulum's dining clientele is predominantly international
  • Composed, gracious manner without being overly formal — Tulum's atmosphere is intentionally relaxed luxury
  • Knowledge of organic and wellness food philosophy — guests ask questions from the moment they arrive
  • Discretion with high-profile guests — Tulum's restaurant scene regularly receives internationally known visitors
