Responsibilities

• Full table service in traditional Yucatecan restaurant
• Present Yucatecan menu with knowledge — explain cochinita, sopa de lima, papadzules, marquesitas to guests unfamiliar with local cuisine
• Handle both Mexican domestic tourists and growing international visitors
• Manage service in Mérida's heat — outdoor and open-air dining is common
• Upsell regional drinks — horchata de pepita, agua de jamaica, regional beers

Requirements

• 1–2 years service experience
• Genuine knowledge and pride in Yucatecan cuisine — guests ask detailed questions
• Basic English for international visitors
• Physical composure in Mérida's heat
