Golf Caddie

Ultra-luxury resort golf course, Los Cabos corridor

Los Cabos

MXN 8,000 – 12,000 / monthFull-time, permanent

Base monthly + round gratuity (USD 50–100+ per bag typical at Los Cabos ultra-luxury courses; experienced caddies earn MXN 40,000–60,000+/month in peak season)

Responsibilities

  • Provide premium caddie services on a Los Cabos cliff-top, oceanfront, or desert arroyo course: the physical drama of the course requires detailed hole-by-hole knowledge — wind direction changes per hole elevation, distance adjustments for elevation changes on cliff-top holes, and the visual deception caused by Pacific horizon reference points for aerial shots
  • Manage wind club selection: Los Cabos experiences consistent Pacific trade winds and variable Cortez crosswinds depending on the hole's orientation — the experienced caddie knows the wind tendencies per hole across all tee times of day and adjusts club recommendations accordingly
  • Read greens with altitude and wind variables: desert greens run differently than coastal greens — faster in the desert dryness, more affected by wind during the putt
  • Provide exceptional English-language service calibrated to the ultra-luxury guest profile: Los Cabos golf guests include Fortune 500 executives, Hollywood names, and professional athletes — professional composure, discreet hospitality, and the ability to hold an excellent conversation across any social register are professional requirements
  • Manage bag, equipment cleaning, and transport to the guest's suite or villa
  • Build relationships for return visits and referrals: the Los Cabos golf guest returns every year; the caddie they remember is the one they request

Requirements

  • Golf caddie experience; Los Cabos or Pacific Mexico course knowledge strongly preferred
  • Professional English fluency — this is a non-negotiable at the Los Cabos luxury price point
  • Golf knowledge at a genuinely useful advisory level — specifically for elite destination golf guests who play regularly at comparable-quality courses in the US and UK
  • Physical fitness for 18 holes in Los Cabos heat, wind, and elevation change
  • Discreet professional composure appropriate for the ultra-luxury guest profile

Benefits

  • IMSS, aguinaldo, paid vacation + premium
  • Housing allowance MXN 2,500/month
  • Base monthly + round gratuity (the highest caddie tip income in Mexico)
  • Complimentary meal service during shifts
  • Golf access on course during non-operational periods
  • Career pathway to Head Caddie, First Tee Assistant, and Teaching Professional Assistant

Work environment

Premium caddie at a Los Cabos ultra-luxury resort golf course. High-skill, English-fluent caddie service for the highest-spending golf tourism market in Mexico, with the physical drama of Baja Peninsula cliff, desert, and ocean course topography.

About the role

The Los Cabos caddie who stands on hole 17 of a clifftop course — 50 meters above the Pacific, the guest's approach shot needing to carry a canyon — who says "162 into the wind, which is about 172 equivalent today, and it's been left-to-right on every approach on the back nine; I'd go 5-iron and start it 10 yards right of the pin" — and watches the ball land 8 feet from the cup — has done something that an app cannot replicate. Course knowledge applied with confidence in the exact moment it matters is the caddie's irreplaceable professional product.
