Golf Course Groundskeeper

Responsibilities

• Maintain Bermuda fairways and rough on a Guadalajara private club course at 1,560m: the altitude and temperate climate produce moderate, consistent Bermuda growth that is more manageable than coastal courses — mowing frequency is moderate, and the absence of extreme heat reduces stress events
• Execute greens maintenance to private club standard: Bermuda ultradwarf or Tifdwarf greens at 3–4mm height; daily mowing and rolling; member competition events requiring 10.5+ stimpmeter readings require advance preparation over 3–5 days
• Manage the rainy season turf operations: Guadalajara's afternoon showers June–October are generally predictable and shorter than tropical coastal rainfall — course operations resume within 30–60 minutes of rainfall cessation, and the crew needs to quickly assess and correct any standing water, bunker wash, and surface debris before play resumes
• Operate and maintain irrigation for the dry season: November–April zero-rainfall periods require full irrigation system utilization; Guadalajara water source management differs from coastal desalination contexts — municipal water is available but quality varies by supply source
• Maintain the club's ornamental landscaping around the clubhouse and course perimeter: Guadalajara's altitude and climate supports a wider variety of ornamental plantings than coastal courses; the grounds crew manages the aesthetic presentation of the club's entry, clubhouse garden, and event spaces
• Support private member events and tournaments: club championship, inter-club competitions, and the social calendar events that drive the maintenance crew's presentation schedule

• Golf course grounds maintenance experience
• Bermuda turf maintenance; temperate and mild climate course management
• Equipment operation — fairway and greens mowers
• Club culture awareness — private member club environment requires professionalism and discretion
• Spanish native; English functional
