Junior Butler — Luxury Suite Program

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated butler service for assigned luxury suite and preferred club guests: manage pre-arrival personalization (room setup preferences, pillow menu, minibar stocking per guest history), arrival welcome, and ongoing in-stay service coordination
• Coordinate with resort departments on guest requests: butler service is a coordination role as much as a direct service role — the butler manages the guest's requests through housekeeping, in-room dining, concierge, spa, and beach operations, all while the guest's only contact is with the butler
• Execute turndown service: personalized notes, pillow preference, robe and slipper placement, chocolates or amenity delivery per the guest's preference, and same-day request resolution before the guest returns to the room for the night
• Manage the butler pantry and amenity inventory: track the guest's minibar consumption, coordinate replenishment, and manage the suite's welcome amenity and departure gift preparation
• Anticipate service needs: the North American luxury resort guest expects service before they ask for it — the butler who delivers the afternoon iced towel without being asked, who has the taxi arranged 10 minutes before the guest mentioned they were going to dinner, is practicing the anticipation skill that defines butler-tier service
• Assist with special occasions: room decoration for anniversaries, honeymoon setup, birthday amenity arrangements, and surprise coordination with the guest's travel companion

Requirements

• Hotel service experience; butler training or previous butler assistant role preferred
• English fluency — the Cancún luxury resort butler's primary guest communication is in English
• Attention to detail for luxury room presentation and personalization
• Warm professional demeanor with a natural instinct for anticipatory service
• Discretion — the butler has access to the guest's personal space and preferences

About the role

The junior butler who manages 8 suites on a Saturday in December — four check-ins, two existing guests with dinner reservations tonight, one honeymoon setup at 6pm, and a birthday cake delivery at 8pm — without any of these guests knowing the others exist — is executing a personal service logistics operation that looks effortless from the inside of any individual suite and is actually a sophisticated coordination performance.
