Private Estate Manager & Head Butler

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete operations of a privately owned luxury villa estate in Los Cabos: the estate manager oversees a household staff (housekeeper, chef, gardener, security), manages maintenance schedules, coordinates vendor relationships, and ensures the estate is maintained to the owner's standards whether they are in residence or not
• Serve as head butler when the owner and their guests are in residence: personal service management, guest welcome, private dining coordination, activity program curation, and the complete guest experience during residential periods
• Manage the estate's budget and vendor accounts: budget tracking for maintenance, consumables, utility management, and the owner's specific supply preferences (wine cellar restocking, personal care product preferences, food and beverage standards)
• Coordinate estate maintenance in the Los Cabos desert environment: the extreme UV, heat, dust, and hard water of Baja California require systematic maintenance — pool chemistry management with hard water parameters, exterior surface maintenance, HVAC filter schedules, and exterior fixture maintenance are managed on a property-specific calendar
• Handle the owner's personal requests between residential visits: estate condition reporting, event preparation for scheduled arrivals, and the management of any estate improvement projects commissioned by the owner
• Maintain security and discretion for the property when the owner is not in residence

Requirements

• Private estate management or senior butler/household manager experience in a luxury residential context
• Full household staff management — hiring, training, scheduling, and performance
• English and Spanish bilingual; professional correspondence in both languages
• Budget management and vendor relationship management
• Absolute discretion — private estate management requires handling information about the owner's personal life, family, and business that is strictly confidential

The estate manager who calls to report problems is replaceable.
