Villa Butler — Luxury Resort Villa Estate

Responsibilities

• Serve as dedicated butler for an assigned luxury villa or private estate within an ultra-luxury Los Cabos resort: the villa butler's relationship with the guest begins before arrival (pre-arrival correspondence to establish preferences) and extends to post-departure follow-up for repeat guest cultivation
• Execute all in-villa service operations: morning newspaper and coffee delivery per the guest's schedule, butler-managed breakfast service from the villa's private kitchen, pool and outdoor area preparation, and all in-villa dining arrangements
• Manage the villa's private chef coordination: Los Cabos villa estates typically include access to a dedicated chef for private in-villa dinners — the butler manages the communication between the guest's dietary preferences and occasion requirements and the culinary team's execution
• Coordinate the guest's complete activity and logistics program: private sport fishing charter bookings, helicopter transfers, helicopter golf trips, sunset whale watching charters, personalized golf tee times with preferred caddie assignments, spa bookings — the butler manages the complete agenda
• Manage the hard water impacts on the villa's service: Los Cabos water is extremely mineral-rich — the butler ensures the villa's fixtures, glassware, and polished surfaces are maintained free of water spots through proactive management of the housekeeping team
• Handle complex and sensitive guest requests with absolute discretion: medical needs, dietary restrictions, security-related requests, romantic special occasions, and any situation requiring creative problem-solving within the timeframe the ultra-luxury guest expects

Requirements

• Butler certification (Guild of Professional English Butlers, International Butler Academy, or equivalent)
• 4+ years luxury or ultra-luxury butler experience; resort villa or estate butler experience preferred
• English fluency at a professional correspondence level; additional language strongly preferred
• Private dining setup and food and wine service competency
• Absolute discretion and composure with ultra-high-net-worth guests
• Problem-solving agility — in the Los Cabos ultra-luxury context, "it's not possible" is not an acceptable response to a guest request without a creative alternative
