Hotel Butler — Luxury Suite Floor

Five-star hotel butler suite program, Polanco or Reforma corridor, CDMX

Mexico City

MXN 20,000 – 30,000 / monthFull-time, permanent

Fixed monthly + transport subsidy + service charge allocation

Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated butler service for assigned luxury suite guests in a CDMX five-star hotel's butler program: the CDMX business traveler guest expects efficient, professional, and discreet service that enables them to work effectively — on-time morning wake-up calls, precise room service delivery during business calls, and seamless coordination with the hotel's business center and limousine service
  • Manage CDMX-specific logistics for the guest: the city's complex traffic patterns require accurate timing guidance for business appointments — the butler coordinates with the concierge on departure times that account for Circuito Interior traffic, peak CDMX hour patterns, and the specific neighborhood traffic of the appointment's location
  • Execute the seismic event protocol: CDMX butler staff are trained to manage a guest through a seismic event calmly and efficiently — the protocol is to guide the guest to the doorframe or open ground per the hotel's emergency plan, and to maintain composure throughout
  • Coordinate altitude-adjusted amenity service: at 2,240m, some international guests experience mild altitude adjustment in the first 24–48 hours — the CDMX butler maintains awareness of the guest's wellbeing, offers appropriate comfort items (electrolyte water, mild altitude support per the hotel's medical protocol), and follows up without making the guest feel monitored
  • Provide CDMX cultural curation for leisure elements of business stays: Polanco gallery access, Condesa restaurant recommendations, Soumaya Museum private visits, and the specific Colonia Roma culinary scene that the well-traveled CDMX visitor returns to
  • Handle the butler suite's pressing, packing assistance, and personal shopping coordination for the business traveler's complete in-stay needs

Requirements

  • Butler certification or formal butler service training
  • English fluency; Spanish native; additional language preferred
  • CDMX urban geography and traffic knowledge for logistics management
  • Business travel guest management experience — the CDMX business butler serves a different client profile than the leisure resort butler
  • Professional composure for high-profile corporate and diplomatic guests

Benefits

  • IMSS, aguinaldo, paid vacation + premium
  • Transport subsidy MXN 650/month
  • Staff meals
  • Service charge allocation
  • Career advancement to Head Butler and Director of Guest Experience
  • Connection to the international luxury hotel brand network operating in CDMX

Work environment

Hotel butler in a five-star CDMX luxury suite program. Business and leisure guest service in Mexico City's most prestigious hotel corridor with altitude management, urban logistics, and cultural curation as specific professional competencies.

About the role

The CDMX butler who delivers the morning newspapers, coffee, and a 7am wake-up call to the guest's suite — who has already confirmed with the driver that the limousine is 20 minutes early because today's 9am meeting is in Santa Fe and there's a Periférico incident — who slips a note under the door at 6:55 saying "car leaving at 7:40 instead of 8:10 — traffic on Periférico, driver is ready" — has just saved a business meeting and a professional relationship with the client. The guest doesn't know the butler checked traffic at 6:30am. They just know they got to the meeting on time.
