Responsibilities

• Serve as primary butler for the property's exclusive suite collection: manage all aspects of the luxury suite guests' stay from pre-arrival preference profiling through departure, with a level of personalization that differentiates the property from larger resort competitors
• Establish the property's butler service standards: as a senior butler in a boutique property, you contribute to the guest service manual and train junior villa host staff — the senior butler's professional DNA becomes the property's service identity
• Coordinate complex multi-day guest itineraries: the Riviera Maya boutique guest often stays 5–10 nights and expects progressive experience building — the senior butler creates an arc across the stay rather than a series of individual service transactions
• Manage the cenote-adjacent environmental protocols in all service delivery: the Riviera Maya luxury property's service extends to the ecological context — the senior butler explains the property's water conservation program, reef-safe product standards, and biodegradable amenity sourcing as part of the guest experience rather than as a compliance notice
• Handle VIP and high-profile guest management: boutique Riviera Maya properties attract internationally well-known guests — the senior butler's discretion, professional composure, and security awareness around high-profile guests are professional requirements
• Maintain guest intelligence documentation for repeat stays and shared intelligence within the luxury hospitality network

Requirements

• Butler training certification (Guild of Professional English Butlers, American Butler Institute, or equivalent hotel butler program)
• 3+ years luxury butler or villa host experience
• English and Spanish bilingual; European language a significant advantage
• VIP and high-profile guest management experience
• Genuine Riviera Maya local knowledge for authentic experience curation
