Guest Services & ButlerVilla Butler & Experience Host
Luxury boutique villa resort, Puerto Vallarta marina or hillside
Puerto Vallarta
Fixed monthly + service gratuity
Responsibilities
- Serve as dedicated butler and experience host for an assigned cluster of luxury villas at a PVR boutique property: the butler role here combines conventional hotel butler service with a local guide function — the PVR guest wants both the comfort of the villa and genuine access to the destination
- Coordinate the complete Banderas Bay experience portfolio: catamaran tours to Los Arcos and the Marietas Islands biosphere reserve, private whale watching during December–March season, sport fishing charters from the Marina Vallarta fleet, and dolphin and manta ray encounters in the bay during summer season
- Manage in-villa service: morning coffee and newspaper delivery, daily turndown with Jalisco artisanal botanical amenities (talavera pottery, hand-woven linen, local botanical products), and private dining coordination for in-villa meals
- Provide honest restaurant and cultural curation: the Zona Romántica's restaurant scene, Vallarta's Malecon art galleries, artisan markets, and the Huichol art community in the mountains above the city — the butler who knows which palapas in the Malecon are worth the time and which are tourist-marketed is providing genuine value
- Coordinate whale watching December–March: the humpback whale presence in Banderas Bay is the single most distinctive seasonal experience in PVR — the butler manages the timing, vessel selection, and scheduling of this experience as a high-value guest program element
- Handle special occasions with Jalisco cultural elements: mariachi serenade arrangement for anniversaries, tequila tasting experiences with artisan producers, and traditional Jalisco cuisine private dining experiences
Requirements
- Hospitality service experience; butler or villa host role preferred
- English and Spanish bilingual
- Genuine Puerto Vallarta and Jalisco local knowledge — the experiential curation role requires real local relationships and knowledge, not a referral list
- Natural warmth and conversational engagement appropriate for the PVR hospitality culture
- Whale watching and marine excursion coordination competency
Benefits
- IMSS, aguinaldo, paid vacation + premium
- Staff meals
- Service gratuity
- Banderas Bay and PVR destination access as a professional environment
- Career development in PVR's growing luxury boutique sector
Work environment
Villa butler and experience host at a Puerto Vallarta luxury boutique property. Warm, authentic Jalisco hospitality combined with full-service villa management for North American and Mexican luxury guests in one of Mexico's most beloved resort destinations.
About the role
The PVR villa butler who arranges a sunrise catamaran for the couple who mentioned in passing that they'd never seen a humpback whale up close — who books the most knowledgeable naturalist guide on the bay, secures a spot on the early morning vessel before the big tour groups, and leaves a note in the villa the night before with the pickup time and a brief "you'll remember this" — has just created the moment that becomes the couple's standard for what a hotel butler is supposed to do. That standard travels with them to every hotel they stay at for the rest of their lives.
