Private Villa Manager — Residential Boutique Property

Responsibilities

• Manage a privately owned luxury colonial villa in SMA as a boutique rental property or owner's private residence: the villa manager oversees the household staff, maintains the property to a consistently high standard, and serves as the primary host for guests when the property is rented to international visitors or when the owner is in residence
• Coordinate the SMA artisan and vendor community for the property: the villa's linen is sourced from a specific Guanajuato textile cooperative, the floral arrangements from a specific market vendor, the weekly food supply from the organic farmers' market — the villa manager maintains these relationships and ensures consistent quality
• Manage the villa's colonial architecture maintenance: SMA colonial properties require ongoing maintenance of stone walls, hand-painted tile, original woodwork, and terracotta floors — the villa manager coordinates with local artisan tradespeople rather than conventional contractors
• Coordinate the property's integration with SMA's event calendar: the festival and cultural event calendar (Artisans' Market, International Film Festival, Globo festival, Día de Muertos) shapes guest programming — the villa manager builds an awareness of the calendar into the guest experience
• Handle guest arrival setup and hosting for rental guests: when the property is accessed by high-end international rental guests (the SMA luxury villa market rents to USD 1,500–4,000/night international clientele), the villa manager provides arrival hosting and remains available throughout the stay
• Manage the property's budget and maintenance accounts for the remote owner

Requirements

• Villa or household management experience
• English and Spanish bilingual — the SMA international rental market is English-dominant
• SMA artisan and vendor network knowledge
• Colonial property maintenance coordination competency
• Discretion and professionalism for private residential and rental guest management
