Guest Relations Officer — Business Traveler Focus

Five-star business hotel, Polanco or Reforma, CDMX

Mexico City

MXN 17,000 – 24,000 / monthFull-time, permanent

Fixed monthly + transport subsidy

Responsibilities

  • Manage the guest experience quality for a CDMX five-star business hotel: the corporate traveler guest has a shorter stay, a higher operational dependency, and a lower tolerance for friction than the leisure resort guest — the guest relations officer prioritizes efficiency and reliability above all other service qualities
  • Coordinate CDMX urban logistics for business guests: departure timing guidance based on Circuito Interior and Insurgentes traffic patterns, secure executive transport coordination, Hoy No Circula vehicle restriction advice for rental car guests, and airport transfer reliability management
  • Handle complaint resolution with the CDMX business hotel's urgency standard: the business traveler who loses a morning because of a hotel failure needs a resolution within the same day — room reassignment, technology issue resolution, noise complaint management, and any issue affecting productive work time must be resolved with immediate priority
  • Apply seismic awareness protocols: CDMX guest relations officers are trained to communicate about seismic events clearly and calmly — explaining the alert system, the protocol for guests, and the difference between a significant tremor (brief pause in activity) and a major event (evacuation procedure) is part of the officer's induction and ongoing competency
  • Coordinate altitude adjustment support for arriving international guests: at 2,240m, some guests experience headache, fatigue, or mild nausea — the officer maintains access to appropriate comfort support per the hotel's medical protocol and checks in proactively with guests who mention symptoms
  • Manage VIP corporate guest arrivals: the CDMX business hotel regularly hosts executive travelers whose companies have direct relationships with the hotel — the officer coordinates the complete VIP experience from limousine arrival to suite setup to meeting room reservation

Requirements

  • Guest relations experience at a business hotel or luxury urban property
  • English and Spanish bilingual; additional language preferred
  • CDMX geography and traffic knowledge
  • Corporate traveler service style — efficient, discreet, and professional
  • Altitude awareness and seismic event communication competency

Benefits

  • IMSS, aguinaldo, paid vacation + premium
  • Transport subsidy MXN 650/month
  • Staff meals
  • Fixed monthly salary
  • Career development in CDMX's premium hotel market

Work environment

Guest relations officer at a CDMX five-star business hotel. Urban logistics management, corporate VIP service, and efficient complaint resolution for the Mexican capital's most demanding business traveler market.

About the role

The CDMX business hotel guest relations officer who proactively sends a traffic update to a guest's room at 6:30am — "Periférico incident reported; recommend leaving 20 minutes earlier than planned for 9am meeting in Interlomas — driver has been updated, car is ready now" — has provided a service that has a clear commercial value: the guest's meeting happens on time. The officer who understands that the business traveler's time is their most valuable asset, and who treats protection of that time as the primary service objective, is the officer whose guest survey scores reflect it.
