Work environment
Colonial boutique hotel in Oaxaca. Working in a restored 18th-century casa — painted green and terracotta, interior courtyard with zapote tree, rooftop with Monte Albán view — is unlike any other hotel environment in Mexico.
About the role
The first guide to Oaxaca's depth. An international traveler who flew to Oaxaca specifically for the mole, the mezcal, and the Zapotec culture arrives at their boutique hotel carrying serious expectations. The guest host who walks them to their room and then says "for tonight — there is a mezcalería two streets from here where the palenquero who made this bottle comes on Thursdays; and for dinner the woman on the corner has been making mole negro the same way for thirty years; she has three tables" — has just upgraded the entire trip with one conversation.
