Bellboy / Bell Attendant

Responsibilities

• Handle guest arrivals and luggage from vehicle to room
• Conduct property orientation on guest escort to room
• Process departure luggage storage and vehicle loading
• Handle in-house luggage transfer requests
• Provide Playa del Carmen local guidance — 5th Avenue, beach access, cenote recommendations
• Support front desk and lobby operations

Requirements

• 1–2 years hospitality experience preferred
• Physical fitness
• English — functional level essential; basic European language a plus
• Warm and genuine manner matching Playa's relaxed boutique character

Work environment

Boutique hotel bell desk in Playa del Carmen. The Playa property market features boutique-scale hotels rather than large all-inclusives — the bell attendant works in closer proximity to guests and has more personal interaction than in a large resort.

About the role

The first local friend in Playa. A European solo traveler arriving in Playa del Carmen for the first time knows Quinta Avenida from Instagram but doesn't know the actual neighborhood. The bellboy who, while walking them to their room, says "the best tacos are three blocks from here and the cenote bus leaves from the corner at 9am" — has just become the most valuable person they've met in Mexico.
