Public Area Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all resort public areas throughout shift — lobby, corridors, elevator banks, stairwells, public restrooms
• Clean pool deck and surrounding areas continuously — sand removal, sunscreen residue, spilled drinks
• Maintain beach access areas and beach bar surroundings
• Clean lobby floors to resort standard — marble and tile require specific cleaning agents and methods
• Empty public waste bins on regular schedule
• Clean and restock public restrooms throughout day
• Respond to spill calls and immediate cleaning requests via radio
• Work alongside guests in all-inclusive environment with professional, unobtrusive manner

Requirements

• Previous hotel or commercial cleaning experience helpful
• Comfortable working in guest-facing areas — public cleaning requires a presentable, professional manner
• Physical stamina for continuous outdoor and indoor cleaning work
• Reliable and consistent throughout full shift
• Basic ability to communicate with guests if approached

Work environment

All-inclusive resort public areas in Cancún. Outdoor pool decks and beach areas under sun and heat are part of the working environment. High guest volume and continuous spill/sand/sunscreen traffic mean the work never stops.

About the role

The clean resort experience is not an accident. The pool deck at a Cancún resort is in continuous use by hundreds of guests — drinks spill, sunscreen coats loungers, sand tracks in from the beach. The public area cleaner who moves through that space efficiently and invisibly, restoring it to clean repeatedly throughout the day, is the reason the resort always looks immaculate despite being in constant use.
