Room Attendant / Camarista — Boutique Hotel

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms in colonial boutique property — typically 8–14 rooms per shift
• Apply careful handling to artisan furnishings — Talavera ceramics, hand-woven textiles, iron furnishings, colonial art
• Strip and remake beds to boutique hotel specification
• Full bathroom cleaning and restocking — often with locally made artisan soap and natural products
• Restock room amenities — SMA artisan welcome products, mezcal miniatures, fresh flowers
• Handle destination wedding room setups — rose petals, welcome gifts, honeymoon suite preparation
• Report maintenance on heritage structures
• Maintain rooftop terrace and courtyard areas as applicable

Requirements

• 1–2 years hotel or domestic housekeeping experience
• Care and respect for artisan and heritage furnishings
• Basic English — regular interaction with North American guests is common in SMA properties
• Detail orientation — SMA guests are design-conscious and inspect rooms carefully
• Warm and professional manner
