Irrigation & Water Systems Specialist — Resort Grounds

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain resort irrigation infrastructure: drip irrigation across desert-adapted landscape zones, with precision emitter maintenance critical in sandy substrate
• Program smart irrigation controllers: seasonal ET (evapotranspiration)-based scheduling to minimize water consumption in a water-scarce region
• Manage water budget compliance — Los Cabos has strict municipal water allocation for hospitality properties; accurate metering and scheduling required
• Install and repair drip lines, emitters, solenoid valves, and pressure regulators
• Coordinate with hotel sustainability team on water-use reporting — many Los Cabos properties track landscape water consumption as part of environmental certification requirements
• Design simple irrigation zones for new planting areas or landscape renovation projects

Requirements

• Irrigation system operation and maintenance — drip irrigation essential
• Basic hydraulics and pressure management knowledge
• Smart controller programming experience preferred
• Water conservation mindset
