Hotel Gardens Technician — Boutique Hotel & Courtyard

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal courtyard gardens: seasonal flowering plants, feature trees, planter boxes, and ornamental beds around the fuente (central fountain) typical of colonial property layout
• Manage lobby and indoor plant installations: large-format planters with dracaenas, fiddle-leaf figs, monstera, and other architectural indoor plants requiring controlled-environment care
• Execute seasonal flower rotation in courtyard: camelias, geraniums, and seasonal bedding plants refreshed through the dry season; bougainvillea managed through the rainy period
• Maintain rooftop terrace plants where applicable: succulent collections, ornamental grasses, and urban herb gardens common in Roma and Condesa boutique properties
• Care for any potted tree specimens in courtyard (jacaranda, olive, or ornamental citrus) — pruning, staking, soil amendment, and scale management
• Post-seismic garden assessment: inspect for fallen containers, damaged planters, or structural damage to planted walls after significant tremors

Requirements

• Indoor and outdoor plant care knowledge — experience with both tropical indoor species and temperate garden plants
• Boutique hotel aesthetic sensitivity — courtyard arrangements are design elements
• Basic CDMX seismic awareness for post-earthquake plant and container assessment
• Experience at altitude: some tropical plant species require care adjustments at 2,240m
