Landscape & Outdoor Spaces Gardener — Boutique Hotel Collection

Responsibilities

• Rotate between 2–3 boutique hotels in Playa del Carmen's Centro and beach zones for scheduled garden maintenance
• Maintain rooftop terrace gardens: container tropicals, ornamental grasses, and feature plants in high-UV, high-wind conditions at elevation
• Coordinate lobby plant rotation: fresh tropical and flowering specimens moved in from storage or nursery on schedule
• Apply rainy-season mold and fungal treatments on interior courtyard planting — Playa del Carmen's June–October humidity drives fungal disease in enclosed courtyard spaces
• Maintain palapa structure surroundings: beach-area plantings around palapa bars and pool pavilions
• Seasonal flower bed management: marigolds, vinca, and seasonal tropicals replaced on schedule for high-occupancy periods

Requirements

• Multi-property landscaping experience
• Rooftop container plant management knowledge
• Good organizational skills for multi-property scheduling
• Driving license or ability to travel between nearby properties

Working across a boutique hotel collection in Playa del Carmen means no two days are the same property. The gardener who can shift from a rooftop terrace in the morning to a jungle-edge garden in the afternoon, who knows each property's plant palette and its particular maintenance needs, develops a breadth of urban tropical horticulture knowledge that single-property positions don't provide.
