Resort Gardener — Tropical Gardens & Grounds

Responsibilities

• Daily grounds maintenance of resort tropical landscape: palm care, ornamental bed weeding and edging, lawn maintenance in shaded garden areas
• Irrigation system monitoring — drip zones for planted beds and automated sprinkler for lawn areas; adjust for dry vs. wet season conditions
• Maintain resort entrance gardens and guest-path plantings: heliconias, calatheas, ti plants, and tropical foliage beds
• Pool surround planting care: manage potted tropicals and in-ground border plantings visible from pool deck
• Apply organic fertilizers and low-chemical pest treatments consistent with resort eco-friendly policy
• Remove fallen coconuts and palm debris from guest areas — daily safety and aesthetics task

Requirements

• Tropical gardening experience or knowledge of Caribbean plant species
• Irrigation system operation familiarity
• Physical fitness for outdoor work in high humidity and heat
• Attention to daily presentation standards in a guest-facing environment
