Hotel Gardener — All-Inclusive Beach Resort

Responsibilities

• Daily grounds maintenance across resort: mow lawns, edge beds, weed ornamental areas, clear fallen tropical debris after overnight winds
• Maintain tropical planting beds at guest-facing areas: bougainvillea, hibiscus, frangipanis, heliconia, palms
• Irrigate during dry season (November–May) — wet season self-manages but dry months require supplemental irrigation for lawn and new plantings
• Prune vigorous tropical shrubs on a monthly cycle — PV's wet season drives 40–60cm of growth per month in bougainvillea and hibiscus
• Maintain pool surround planting: remove fallen leaves, keep ornamental beds around pool pristine for daily guest use
• Assist with hurricane preparation: trim back large shrubs, stake young palms, remove dead wood that could become projectile debris

Requirements

• Tropical gardening experience or general grounds maintenance
• Pruning skills for vigorous tropical shrubs
• Physical fitness for hot, humid outdoor work
• Reliability for early morning shifts before guest-peak hours
