Hotel Electrician — Colonial Boutique

Responsibilities

• Maintain all electrical systems in a converted colonial property — routing through thick limestone walls and century-old construction
• Prioritize AC circuit maintenance — mini-split electrical connections, dedicated circuits per room, load balancing to prevent overloads during peak heat months
• Service the property's central courtyard electrical: fountain pump, garden lighting, atmospheric fixtures
• Maintain rooftop terrace electrical: sun lounger area, bar connections, string lighting, outdoor speakers
• Upgrade aging wiring segments identified during regular inspections — colonial renovations in Mérida often reveal electrical from multiple eras
• Manage the property's backup generator for power outage events

Requirements

• Hotel or building electrical experience; colonial or heritage building background useful
• Mini-split AC electrical — dedicated circuit sizing and fault diagnosis
• Patience for routing work through thick masonry construction
• Heat tolerance for working in Mérida's extreme summer climate
