Senior Electrician — High-Rise Tower

Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical maintenance across a 30-floor hotel tower: distribution boards per floor, risers, substation, roof equipment
  • Oversee medium-voltage distribution from the building's private substation — coordination with CFE on utility interface
  • Lead a team of 2–3 junior electricians; assign work orders and supervise technical standard
  • Manage the tower's emergency power infrastructure: multiple generators, layered UPS systems, seismic emergency protocols
  • Coordinate with the BMS engineer on integrated electrical and building automation systems
  • Prepare monthly electrical management report for the Chief Engineer

Requirements

  • Senior electrical technician qualification or equivalent experience in high-rise buildings
  • Medium-voltage and substation experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • CDMX high-rise building electrical environment familiarity

Reforma tower electrical is some of the most complex maintenance work in Mexico. Thirty floors of electrical distribution, a private substation, a generator room that has to start on demand during a seismic event — the Senior Electrician who manages all of this professionally is operating in a technical category that almost no other hotel maintenance role reaches.
