Hotel Electrician — Boutique Colonial

Responsibilities

• Maintain all electrical systems in a colonial boutique property: guest room circuits, courtyard lighting, restaurant and bar connections, rooftop terrace
• Service mini-split AC units — dedicated circuit inspection and electrical connections
• Maintain the property's backup generator — tested monthly and kept ready; altitude performance monitoring at 1,550m
• Handle atmospheric lighting maintenance — Oaxaca boutiques invest heavily in candle-adjacent warm lighting design using specialty LED and dimmer systems
• Route new wiring through colonial walls using methods that respect the building structure and heritage character
• Coordinate external contractors for work requiring municipal permits in the heritage zone

Requirements

• Hotel or building electrical experience; colonial building background useful
• Generator maintenance awareness (altitude performance adjustment)
• Careful, methodical approach appropriate to heritage building environments
• Reliable and self-directed — small properties rely heavily on the individual technician
