Responsibilities
- Maintain all electrical in a hillside boutique property with non-standard construction — routing through stone walls, wood-beam ceilings, and terraced multi-level layout
- Upgrade aging wiring where identified during inspections — many hillside PV properties have electrical infrastructure from the 1970s and 1980s embedded in stone walls
- Maintain rooftop terrace pool and bar electrical — outdoor fittings in full sun and Pacific salt air
- Handle specialty lighting maintenance: boutique hotels in PV's Zona Romántica invest heavily in atmospheric lighting design
- Coordinate external permits and specialist contractors for work requiring CFE notification
- Perform fault-finding in embedded wiring where access is limited by the building structure
Requirements
- Electrical experience in old or heritage building environments
- Strong fault-finding skills — tracing circuits through 50-year-old embedded wiring requires methodical thinking
- Patience and craft approach suitable for boutique standards
- Comfort working at heights on multi-level hillside buildings
