Responsibilities
- Maintain all electrical in a colonial boutique property specializing in weddings and events
- Set up and break down event electrical: temporary power panels for outdoor receptions in the courtyard, string light rigs through colonial archways, outdoor bar and catering connections
- Maintain the hotel's generator — altitude adjustment required for diesel generators at 1,870m elevation (power derating of approximately 15–20% vs. sea level)
- Service rooftop terrace and courtyard permanent electrical: feature lighting, ambient systems, outdoor speaker power
- Handle all standard hotel room and common area electrical maintenance
- Maintain cold-season heating infrastructure electrical: calefactores de gas (gas heater electrical connections and ignition systems), patio heater connections
Requirements
- Hotel electrical experience; events venue or wedding hotel background very useful
- Generator maintenance experience with altitude awareness preferred
- Comfortable with colonial building electrical routing challenges
- Flexible during peak wedding seasons (April–June, September–November)
