General Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Respond to room and common-area maintenance requests via radio dispatch — plumbing, electrical, furniture, HVAC filters
• Perform daily preventive maintenance rounds across assigned floors and facilities
• Handle minor plumbing repairs: leaky faucets, running toilets, showerhead replacements
• Replace lighting, fix door closers, repair furniture and fixture hardware
• Document all completed work orders in the property management system
• Coordinate with housekeeping on room-down situations requiring immediate response

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year in hotel or commercial building maintenance
• Multi-trade basics: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting
• Physical fitness — ladder work, confined spaces, high-rise stairwells
• Availability for rotating shifts including weekends and holidays

About the role

The backbone of the resort. When a family of four from Chicago arrives at midnight and their air conditioning isn't working, it's the maintenance technician who gets the radio call and walks through that door to fix it before anyone has a bad night. That quiet competence — showing up, solving the problem, disappearing before the guest notices anything was ever wrong — is the entire job.
