General Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

  • Handle all maintenance requests across a 200-room business hotel — electrical, plumbing, HVAC, furniture, fixtures
  • Perform preventive maintenance rounds on guest floors — inspect rooms systematically between stays
  • Maintain meeting room and event space equipment: AV connections, motorized screens, lighting systems
  • Service elevator mechanical rooms in coordination with external maintenance contractor
  • Execute post-seismic event building inspection checklist — CDMX protocol requires rapid structural scan after any tremor above 4.5 magnitude
  • Document all work orders in property management system with time stamps and parts used

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years hotel or commercial building maintenance in CDMX or comparable urban environment
  • Familiarity with high-rise building systems
  • Basic post-seismic inspection training or willingness to complete it
  • Multi-trade competency; professional presentation for business hotel environment
