Refrigeration & HVAC Technician — Hacienda Hotel

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC across a hacienda hotel: mini-split systems in restored bedrooms and suites, central cooling for event spaces, restaurant cooling
• Service commercial refrigeration for hacienda restaurant kitchen: walk-in units, bar refrigeration, ice machines — critical for outdoor Yucatecan cuisine events in extreme heat
• Manage cenote area cooling infrastructure where applicable — some haciendas maintain cooled changing areas adjacent to natural cenotes
• Maintain the hacienda's event facilities cooling for wedding season — outdoor tent events in April–June and September–November require portable or temporary cooling equipment maintenance
• Handle EC0152 refrigerant management documentation
• Coordinate with hacienda management on seasonal equipment rental for major events

Requirements

• HVAC and refrigeration dual competency
• EC0152 certification
• Rural or hacienda property experience preferred
• Flexible for event season demand

The HVAC technician who prepared the cooling, checked the refrigerant, verified the condenser airflow in the tent layout, and verified the ice machine was running at maximum capacity before the first guest arrived — made the beautiful evening possible.
