HVAC Technician — Business Hotel

Responsibilities

• Maintain VRF and fan coil HVAC systems across a 250-room business hotel: guest rooms, meeting rooms, lobby, fitness center, restaurant
• Manage altitude-adjusted system operation — CDMX's 2,240m elevation requires awareness of compressor capacity reduction vs. sea-level rated performance
• Service four-pipe fan coil units (heating and cooling) — CDMX hotels require both heating and cooling capability; winter evenings regularly drop below 10°C
• Maintain the building's heating system infrastructure: hot water heating coils, boiler connections to HVAC
• Service meeting room precision air conditioning — corporate clients require stable temperatures in conference rooms regardless of occupancy or outdoor conditions
• Coordinate with BMS engineer on HVAC zone control and schedule programming

Requirements

• HVAC experience with VRF or fan coil systems; altitude operation awareness
• EC0152 certification
• Four-pipe heating/cooling system experience — CDMX-specific requirement
• Professional presentation for business hotel environment

About the role

CDMX hotel HVAC is the only hotel market in Mexico where you need to be as good at heating as cooling. When a cold front comes through in December and the outside temperature drops to 7°C overnight, the guest in room 2204 who turns the thermostat to 22°C is depending on a heating system that has to work as reliably as the cooling does in summer. The HVAC technician who maintains both halves of that capability is a more complete professional than one who only operates in warm climates.
