About the role
Managing refrigeration load on a battery storage system teaches you something about energy that grid-connected technicians never have to learn: every watt matters. The refrigeration technician who can keep a walk-in cooler running at optimal efficiency — minimum draw, maximum temperature stability — is not just maintaining equipment. They're extending the battery reserve that the whole property depends on overnight.
