Responsibilities
- Maintain independent water systems: rainwater harvesting tanks, multi-stage filtration (sediment, carbon, UV sterilization), pressure pumps, distribution network
- Manage grey water treatment and recycling system — eco certification compliance requires documented grey water management
- Maintain cenote access infrastructure plumbing: underwater lighting connections (waterproofed), safety shower connections, dressing area plumbing
- Service composting toilet systems where installed in eco zones — distinct from standard plumbing but falls within eco property maintenance scope
- Handle all standard hotel plumbing across eco-luxury guest rooms: fixtures, drainage, hot water
- Coordinate with the property's sustainability manager on water quality testing and compliance documentation
Requirements
- Plumbing experience; rainwater harvesting and independent water system experience strongly preferred
- Environmental compliance awareness — cenote-adjacent properties operate under strict SEMARNAT water protection regulations
- Genuine interest in sustainable water management
- Comfort working in jungle and open-air environment
