Pool & Cenote Technician — Eco Properties

Responsibilities

• Maintain cenote pool and natural water feature: water quality testing appropriate to natural water environments (cenote water has different baseline parameters than conventional pool water), safety infrastructure, underwater lighting
• Maintain conventional pool or plunge pools alongside the natural cenote feature
• Service cenote access infrastructure: wooden or metal ladder maintenance, safety rope anchors, platform integrity, underwater lighting watertight seals
• Manage water clarity — cenote water clarity depends on preventing algae growth without compromising the natural environment; careful chemical management required
• Coordinate with property sustainability manager on any water treatment approaches consistent with eco-certification requirements
• Maintain surrounding cenote natural area: prevent organic debris accumulation that affects water quality

Requirements

• Pool maintenance experience; natural water or cenote environment experience a significant advantage
• Understanding that cenote water chemistry differs from conventional pool management
• Environmental sensitivity — cenote ecosystems are protected; harsh chemical treatment is inappropriate and potentially regulated
• Physical fitness for underwater inspection and natural-environment maintenance work
